Just arrived in Hanoi from Australia and have had lovely friendly service from Sandy who checked us in, she even got us to our room earlier than expected, can’t wait to see what the next few days bring!! Room is beautiful and clean and the air conditioning is just perfect!

Very central location close to the lake. Staff is super friendly and the rooms are spacious. The roof top restaurant has a nice view to have your breakfast.

We knew this hotel was probably not to the same standards as some of the hotels we stayed in during our trip but chose it as it was one of the few with balcony rooms and outside space is important to us. We were very disappointed when we arrived to find we had been put in a room with no balcony, despite our booking confirmation clearly stating balcony suite. The hotel seemed disinterested, saying not all suites have balconies and the balcony rooms were taken. We contacted Trailfinders who arranged our trip and within half an hour they called to apologise and confirm the hotel made an error. They offered to move us but we were on our way out and had plans. The hotel offered us a 20%discount as we stayed but it didnt make up for it, especially as there is not even a bar or outdoor space to relax in the common areas. The rooms are large but tired, maintenance is required, for example there was mould in the bathroom, air vents wonky with screws hanging out. Breakfast was OK. The didnt make up our room on our last day so we had to use wet towells that evening. Our guide had arranged for us to have our breakfast to take away when we left for the airport but at the last minute they then said they couldn't do it. Generally disappointing, advertised and priced as a luxury hotel but it isn't up to standard.

I had a dreadful experience at Authentic Hanoi Hotel. The room was cramped, the AC was as useful as a broken fan, and don't even get me started on the lack of housekeeping after 9:00 PM. But the cherry on top of this disappointment sundae was Manager Sandy, who not only failed to address our concerns but also pressured us to write a positive review by literally taking our phones and typing her own version. Stay away if you value your sanity and honesty.

When you visit Hanoi, you should choose here. It is very near the old town and lake, street food, shopping area. Specially the view of restaurant is so beautiful. Breakfast is delicious, many choices of food, noodle, fruit, cakes... Ms Sandy the manager is very friendly, attentive with guests. Definitely come back soon
